Living in Highland Lakes feels a little bit like being up north without leaving Northville.
The trees are mature. The roads curve instead of feeling cookie-cutter. There are ponds, trails, wildlife, and pockets of nature everywhere.
In the warmer months, people are constantly outside:
There is an energy here that feels active without feeling overwhelming.
It’s social if you want it to be. Private if you don’t.
And unlike many newer communities, Highland Lakes has personality.
One of the most common things residents say is:
“We moved here for convenience… but stayed because of the lifestyle.”
With the exception of minor variations, Highland Lakes has 12 distinct home styles or models, ranging from 884 to 1650 square feet. Due to the presence of 3 inland lakes on the site, a large portion of these homes are lakefront, and many of the homeowners own paddle boats or rowboats. Like most condominium associations, the exteriors and common elements are maintenance free to the resident, and at Highland Lakes the gas and water bills are paid for as part of your monthly assessment fees.
Since the metering is not individual, Highland Lakes is able to take advantage of large volume discounts for the entire site. If you have children, you will also enjoy the fact that there is an elementary school on Silver Spring Drive, basically across the street from many of our homes.
