We’re heading into an uncharacteristically warm November weekend – let’s take advantage! We’ve compiled a list of four kid-friendly Metro Detroit events that are perfect for this 70-degree weather.
1. Columbia Street Fall Fest - Downtown Detroit
Check out this urban pumpkin patch experience in downtown Detroit. If you are a fan of pumpkin-spiced anything, they have it all! Enjoy fall-inspired tastings of Michigan-sourced ciders, cocktails, wines, and more. Also indulge in some fall treats, such as the autumn-spiced mini churros that are being served up by Frita Batidos Detroit. The whole area will have little photo ops set up as well for you to capture your fall family photos while enjoying the day! – Not to mention the beautiful weather for fall photos!

2. Day of the Dead Charity Run - Southwest Detroit
This weekend may be the last chance for a warm outdoor run! So why not join this fun day of the dead themed run to honor a loved one! To go along with the theme, runners will travel through two historic cemeteries in downtown Detroit. Participants are encouraged to wear traditional day of the dead apparel or face paint and bring photos of their ancestors to be displayed on an altar created by local artists. You will also enjoy treats from local vendors and live entertainment during the event.
Proceeds from this event go to the Center of Music & Performing Arts Southwest (COMPÁS), which preserves the Latinx heritage of Southwest Detroit and celebrates its diversity through the arts.
3. Psychic and Holistic Fair - New Baltimore
Looking to explore something new this weekend? Harvest some good energy at this mid-size psychic fair featuring psychics, mediums, healers, and energy workers. Get a tarot card reading or even have a photo of your aura taken! Also enjoy shopping from small business vendors for holistic products, crystals, and food!
4. Pre-Black Friday Craft and Vendor Market - Livonia
Get a jump start on your holiday shopping while also supporting local small businesses! Over 50 vendors will be present this year at the Livonia pre-black Friday craft and vendor market! There really is something for everyone – and who doesn’t love a Michigan-made gift?
